Version 1 of the Hellcat supercharger vacuum bypass valve replaces the OEM electronic bypass valves found in Hellcat and TRX models with a vacuum-operated unit. When adapting the Dodge IHI supercharger to any vehicle other than a Hellcat or TRX, the ability to control the OEM valve is lost. This vacuum-actuated valve removes the need for additional electronics to bypass boost through the supercharger when the throttle is closed.

The actuator used is a reliable and proven AC Delco unit, commonly found in various OEM applications. For builds with a big overlap cam and low vacuum, the actuator only requires 8-9 inches of vacuum to fully open, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
