The LT4 engine is a high-performance masterpiece, featuring advanced technologies like Direct Injection and Variable Valve Timing, first seen in the 2014 Corvette Stingray’s LT1 engine. This engine offers a perfect blend of performance and efficiency, making it ideal for high-performance vehicles.
Supercharged Power from the C7 Corvette Z06! The supercharged LT4 6.2L SC, the most powerful engine in a regular-production Chevrolet, includes an efficient and compact 1.7L Eaton R1740 TVS supercharger that spins up to 20,000 rpm. This generates over 9 pounds of boost, producing 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.
The LT4 is built on the same Gen V Small-Block architecture as the LT1 engine, but with several unique features to support its higher output and the increased cylinder pressures created by forced induction. These features include, Rotocast A356T6 aluminum cylinder heads, which are stronger and handle heat better than conventional castings, lightweight titanium intake valves, stronger forged aluminum pistons.
